Miscellaneous

We went ice skating for a Stake social last weekend.

Ellie and Carly both love to sing...there's obviously a bit of competition. I took Ellie to her two year well-check and the doctor asked Ellie a couple of questions, but before she had a chance to answer Carly answered for her. So, the doctor finally asked me if Ellie talked much. I answered, (trying to be humble), "Yes, she actually talks really well".

Speaking of Ellie, we've started having her wear onsie undershirts again. I'm not a big fan of a two-year old wearing onsies (kind of a pain), but I figured it wasn't as big of a pain as cleaning poopies off of the carpet.

Happy 2nd Birthday Ellise Suzanne!!!

We couldn't wait for Ellie to open her presents, so we did it right after breakfast today!

She got a bunch of kitchen appliances for their new kitchen, some puzzles, a princess pillow book, and some new panties. (After having 6 accidents before lunch today I decided that we would wait on the potty training once again. . . at least until after my birthday so I can enjoy it).

Christmas Slideshow - (a little late)

First of all, I just have to say that we are so grateful that we made it home safely yesterday. The roads were so scary! As we were driving 60mph on the freeway we hit some black ice and did two 360's. We came about 4 feet away from hitting the railing on the left side of the freeway (twice). There were 3 cars within 100 yards behind us and none of them hit us either. Carly and Ellie didn't really care, except for when I started crying afterwards (I was pretty shaken up, but I was mostly just so grateful that we were protected). It's interesting because just a few days ago Aaron and I were talking about guardian angels and how Heavenly Father probably prevents a lot of bad things from happening to us when they logically should have. I know that he allows us to have trials and suffering, but I know there's a lot of preventing and protecting that goes on too.

We had an awesome Christmas break! A Few Highlights:
-A family tour of the Rexburg Temple (so neat!!)
-Shopping with my mom for a new outfit (the first dress suit I've ever owned - so cute!),
-Scalp treatment, facial, and hairdo, with Franci and Holly (only $12),
-Staying up way late and playing games (pretty much every night at Aaron's parents house),
-Aaron, his dad, and my dad went shooting with Josh and his new Sniper rifle (huge gun, $4/bullet). My dad said this is why men have shorter life spans - they have to blow something up to have some fun (women just go shopping)
